Maxitrax do not have overlapping steel cords, insted the steel cord is continuous, being wound from a point on one side of the track to the other. This method virtually eliminates and weak point in the track.
As well as this, each different size of track is made in its own mould , a more expensive method, but one that enables the track to be only subjected to one heat process, avoiding any bonding problems if conditions such as the vulcanizing temperature or factory humidity levels have changed from the initial cut and mould process.
